Espiell [CAT][ENG]

“Espiell” invites us to look askance.Here, the image is a fleeting promise; a gesture of falling—or perhaps of rising—a fragment that hallucinates memory.

In the face of this, all we are left with is suspicion as our guide, and the body becomes little more than a trace that pierces and displaces, that shatters the air into fragments of light.

Transparency is then neither clarity nor opacity, but a form of resistance that breathes and pulses in intermittence. It insists elsewhere, on another layer: the body and the image spiral toward each other, but never fully meet.

We observe from the side, searching for that place where fixing our gaze becomes impossible. Espiell offers us the trace of an image that has fled, and invites us to remain suspended in the act of sensing it.
